The Dakota Alert SBB-4000 is a solar powered, wireless, break beam sensor. The two beam units can be mounted up to 300 feet apart and will send a radio signal back to the receiver anytime the beam is broken. Each weatherproof beam unit is equipped with two solar panels to help ensure that the rechargeable batteries are fully charged during the day. Compared to other solar powered sensors that only have one panel, the Dakota Alert SBB-4000 has twice the solar panels. The SBB-4000 offers easy to use swivel mounts for the beam units. The metal brackets allow each beam to swivel up to 180 degrees so you are able to find just the right mounting location. All you need to do is aim the two units at each other to establish the beam and then anything that breaks the beam will cause the sensor to send a signal to the receiver. The SBB-4000 has a one mile wireless range back to any of the Dakota Alert 4000 Series receivers. This is a much longer wireless range than any other similar product. With the solar powered and wireless operation, installatioion is a snap. There is no wiring, no trenching required. Installation can be done in minutes instead of hours.
